NOTD: No7 Vivid Violet

No7 has been my go to nail polishes recently. they have great colour payoff and last long on my nails. All I need is two coats and a minute or two to dry and I am ready to go. I think the price is very acceptable at £7 per polish.

The colour I've been recently loving is Vivid Violet (shade number:40) in their stay perfect collection. It's a violet colour with beautiful purple undertones and reflects the light with a Goldy shine. It's and absolute gorgeous colour to wear !

Max Factor Flipstick Colour Effect in 05 Bloomy Pink

After watching the ads on TV I knew I had to get hold of one of the Max Factor flipsticks. Max Factor is not usually a brand that I tend to look at and I don't think I actually own any Max Factor, until now. I picked up the flipstick in shade 05 Bloomy Pink.

The price is £8.49 which I think is not bad as you get two lipsticks and can apply it in three different ways.  But after opening I realised the lipsticks themselves were actually smaller than normal lipsticks (this made me feel cheated). The smaller size is justified by Max Factor to help precision and make application easier.

The colour duos have been selected carefully as they complement each other if you use the two colours together. Bloomy Pink has a lovely dark mauve pink colour and a baby pink (like a Barbie pink) kind of colour on the other side. These colours complement each other really well and I will probably end up using this everyday!!!

Have you guys tried any of the Max Factor flipsticks?

BodyShop Mango Scrub Review

I recently bought the Mango body scrub from the Body Shop and I love the results.

The scrub not only exfoliates the skin, but also moisturises and hydrates the skin which leaves an oily after-feel. Personally I don’t mind it, as long as the product is works, but it depends on your preference, as it is a love or hate thing. If you have dry skin, you would definitely benefit from the oily after-feel.

The scrub is an intense exfoliation but also gentle at the same time. I wouldn’t say it’s the best exfoliating product I’ve tried, but the exfoliation is average.

But the mango scent smells is wonderful, the smell just draws me into it. So, it you don’t mind the oily-after feel, and love tropical scents like mango this would be the product for you.

Have you tried any body shop products?

Eos Lip Balm Review

I recently ordered an EOS lip balm in pink sorbet online and it was delivered to me last week.

I was very excited when i saw this on my doorstep, as after watching many YouTube beauty guru’s carrying this around made me want it.  I love the packaging of the lip balm as it was elegant, unique and I’ve never seen anything like it before. The application of product is also more hygienic, as you apply the sphere shaped balm straight onto your lips. Pink sorbet smells so heavenly; I thought that I wasn’t going to be able to find a fault.

That was until I tried the product. Personally I don’t think the taste was appealing (at first it didn’t even taste of anything!). I wouldn’t have minded the taste, if the product was good, it wasn’t! The product was not moisturising at all, when you applied the lip balm your lips felt smooth for a couple of seconds and the product just disappeared. It left my lips drier then it was before I applied it.

I don’t think I’m going to repurchase this product or recommended it to a friend. Even though the sphere shape makes the application addictive, there’s no point looking at the additional benefits if the product isn’t worth it.

I’m not sure if the EOS lip balm I received was an odd one out, but what did you guys think of the EOS lip balms?
